Of Counsel Attorney

Wendy Rivera joins Carmona Law, P.A. as a Junior Partner since January 2017. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and has a strong public interest track record and a solid background in Civil Rights, Administrative Law, and Public Policy.

Attorney Rivera focuses on Federal Social Security Disability Law and Public Policy Advocacy. She served as Public Policy Counsel to Latinos in Technology Innovation & Social Media (LATISM) where she provided strategic leadership and helped meet the organization's objectives and representation in front of federal agencies and regulatory bodies.

She served as Assistant General Counsel to a national regulatory firm and later as Counsel for a national civil rights firm where she advised over 80 national organizations in regulatory and legislative matters. Her portfolio included communications law, policy and rule-making proceedings, largely at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Attorney Rivera is driven by a passion for social justice and approaches every client with a focus on integrity, advocacy, and understanding. She is a graduated from Stetson College of Law and lives in Orlando with her husband and two kids
